The Lodge Education Officer of Dover Lodge would like to give a special thanks to the Brethren and visitors who participated in the “O.P.M.”* program this evening! Our library was packed and the discussion was fantastic. Our particular thanks go to our visiting Brethren and our visitor who was simply looking into the Fraternity!
For those who couldn’t be there, here’s a summary: we discussed the stock market crash of 1929, supply and demand economics, the fractional reserve banking system, and what it means to us today as Masons. In the end we evaluated the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic value and what we can do today to work successfully in such a system.
Education is extremely important to the Masons of Dover Lodge, and that means both esoteric as well as practical study. If you believe that strong education is key to Masonic growth, you absolutely need to come visit us. Check our calendar and stop out to join in our programs. We’d be glad to have you!
* “O.P.M.” stands for “Other Peoples’ Money”!
